The first workshop between the Center for Security Research (North Macedonia) and ISDS was held on 7th June 2021. The event moderated by Dr. Zoltán Egeresi (research fellow, ISDS) aimed at discussing the radicalization and terrorism-related issues in the Western Balkans, especially in the case of North Macedonia. The speakers, Dr. Aleksandar Nacev (director of CSR) and Mr. Rabie Sedrak (research fellow, CSR) outlined the recent developments and cases in North Macedonia and gave an overview about the radicalisation process, its channels and levels. They also highlighted the links between criminal groups and radicalisation as well as the role of the Diaspora.
